So I was trying to make an early view of a solar system, shortly after a new stars bursts into life. I could have done a lot more with this but I'm happy with how it turned out. I probably should have added a few more forming planets but I'm lazy.
Nasa photos of some hurricanes were used (but not harmed) in the making of this.
**I'll upload a wallpaper pack of this a little later**
This image is a great representation of something we don't see very often which is the origins of a solar system. The swirling gases and the shadow cast by the planet onto the gas are great additions to the piece that give it that realistic feel. However, I can't help but feel that this image represents a very calm formation of a solar system (which could be what you're after) instead of a more violent upbringing (coming from the widespread descriptions of planetary bodies colliding and forming larger planets, space debris impacting the crust of forming planets, etc.). To me, the gaseous mass also seems to be lacking volume and looks rather flat. I think what you have here is a great start to an image that, with a little more refining, could evolve into something spectacular and eye-opening.
