A spark of inspiration struck last night, so I whipped up a Terragen render and went to work. I've been wanting to make a sun for a while, but every time I've tried, it came out terrible. I think I got a decent one this time. Its supposed to be a star nearing the ending of its life, growing several times its size as it exhausts the last of its resources.
Terragen, about 11 hour render Photoshop, around 5 hours post work. Stock
This is a great job, does not need an expert to tell him * laughs * I loved it! the vision technique I use, it seems that this had in the head and has managed to create in the real world, I must admit it is awesome * nods *
I am a "fucking smartass" because I have a mindset that everyone dislikes, not here to talk about me but your great job, now, let me say that this is a great piece of art!
something that makes me angry is the use of light and shadow, in many drawings I've seen the shadows do not match the light, that is, "if the light comes from above the shadow has to be down" understand? you followed the use of light and dark, also has a good balance of light, ie not exaggerated with orange light that can be seen with the naked eye, thanks for not letting me blind ^ ^
realism, is flawless and amazing, I must admit that I can see the floor and feel the earth and stones, amazing!
as I told you before, I come to criticize, and no one is saved or even my best friends artists, so you will not get free from a good constructive criticism ...
is indeed very difficult to find a review for your work, you can see at a glance that you've put a lot of work to this drawing, my only criticism is that you have exaggerated with the use of these large bluish white lights, that is, I do not see that if the background is orange, why should there be an impact of a different color, it makes no sense, besides, those lights are another style, it's like the end to end decide to add as a finishing touch, I must say that the picture almost this ruined by your decision, sorry. even so, the lights do not destroy exaggerated the great work you have done, the next try not exaggerate with the flashing lights, please, at least use the right color ^ ^
This is the type of image that used to make me day dream back in high school about space and stuff. Reminds me of some of David A. Hardy's work in an old book called Challenge of the Stars by Patrick Moore (RIP).
Much nicer to see such stuff in photons than on printed paper though!
I think the complaint about the "Lens Flares" is unfair. I saw it as radiation effects (like Aurora or something). The standing pool of liquid however, that has to be hydrocarbons or something... Water would have long since disappeared...
Love your work Tyler . This is gorgeous! Thank you for sharing, I love your wallpaper and use it often! My desktop looks so beautiful with your work on it!
This is my personal favorite from you. The sun and planets in the background look incredible. I also love the orange-ish sky illuminated by the sun as well. The atmosphere's just breathtaking.
The mountains in the back look too faded, and the island in the lower right looks too dark. Otherwise... Damn. Just... Damn. I can see a little of trouble with the sun, but it still looks incredible. This looks like something that I could just walk into. Try to make the flow in the star look a little more random and natural, maybe study some stars to see what patterns they make, but otherwise this is amazing.
