This one came together very quickly. About 10 hours of work in all. Trying to incorporate a little more photos into my work, I think im getting the hang of it.
Terragen Photoshop grabbed some textures from NASA visible earth
The close range appears a bit too clean, given the dust in the background terrain. It feels a bit too dark and too clear.
Some of the lighting in the front feels inconsistent with the lighting in the back, as if something off the screen was blocking the picture... However, the lighting really complements the planet's surface and makes it glow quite nicely.
The transition between the right foreground and space seems a bit hard, but the depth is quite excellence otherwise.
The red astroid/moon/crater? thing is a bit unclear as to what it is. If it is an asteroid/moon, it should have a shadow as well
I like how the space part is not too crowded, but not too empty either. Overall, the picture is great at making the viewer feel awestruck. Well done.
