Alas! Another nebula painting for you all. Put a little more T and E (time and effort) into this one than my usual paintings. About 8-9 hours into it. I went through a lot of re-shaping and color changes. As per usual, no photos, textures, or fractals. Done with Photoshop and my lovely Wacom.
Im pretty happy with the final result. I think the shape could be a little better but it'll play.
The first thing that struck me about this painting (since apparently it's a painting, though you can only tell close up...good job on that) is how it all converges on one point. In my opinion, that somewhat detracts from its usefulness as a wallpaper, which seems to be your intent for it. However, it also gives it a focus visually. It's interesting trying to explore the painting always from that point, even if it can get a bit frustrating after a while. I really love the dual-color artistry, especially the pale pink against the bright blue - I see a lot of spacescapes that are two vivid colors battling each other, and the picture becomes a bit too ADD for me. Here, however, I think you did a perfect job of balancing the colors.
And yes, I know I gave the originality four stars. That's just because spacescapes are already a thing, even though this specific one stands out from any others i've seen.
we is me and me..and others who may have wanted to ask the question too. And it would be for a mod in skyrim (which is in an early stage of development). I really fell in love with your work and got very inspired for this little (big) project of mine.I think it would fit perfectly in the small world space I need to create. FULL credit will be given to you for this. And a link to your deviant page if you want.
I don't know if it's intended or not but I see a lonely woman sitting in a half-fetus position, back against the light. Makes me feel like she wants someone to see her pain and help her, but she's too shy and focused on closing herself to see the light that isn't that far away after all...
And yes, I know I gave the originality four stars. That's just because spacescapes are already a thing, even though this specific one stands out from any others i've seen.
