Great Lakes by TylerCreatesWorlds Great Lakes by TylerCreatesWorlds
Just doing some late night doodles. Find an old piece that I half ass used in another picture. Thought I'd go ahead and make a full work out of it. Lemme know what ye thinks of it.

Painted in photoshop.

Personal Rating Scale: 5 Stars (perfect 100%) 4.5 Stars (exceptional A 95%) 4 Stars ( 90% A-) 3 Stars (well done/beautiful 80% B-) 2 stars ( OK, C- 70%)

Beautiful colors, composition. The composition of this great work strikes my eye and brings me back to my past, the shape of these nebulae brings me back when I used to live in Chicago, which is right next to the great lakes.

The blue portion of the Nebulae creates a powerful focal point to the viewer forcing them to look straight at the center of the painting at the start, but then my eye is guided to the beige nebulae towards the lower left hand side, then I made a 360 degree trip around the edges of this piece. Really a healthy eye exercise :D.

I've never seen a color scheme such as this one before literally in my lifetime, cyan with a beige color. And these colors appear to compliment each other well.

My only criticism is a very minor thing which has really a big deal, is that I feel the blue stars could be whiter, since they are so luminous that even the bluest of stars those above 30,000 degrees F would glow whitish-blue.

Overall I am find this piece a 4.5 star, a exceptional piece on Deviant Art of work.

As usual. Your pieces never disappoint. A very well done job on this one.

I like how you could visualize this collision between nebulas, space clouds etc. to the utmost. Many have failed, but you did amazing with this one. It always looks different than your other pieces.

Technique, without doubt. You are the master.

The yellow stars on the top right area, however could use a little bit of shiny touch to make it alive. How should I say it, it seemed pretty 'unaffected', if you will.

Nonetheless, like the others, it gives a great impact to the viewers, you could really believe that this is how it looks like out there.

I get really happy when this shows up as my desktop wallpaper because of the watercolory edge-shape to the middle colors. I really love this piece.
