Nebulae Tutorial by TylerCreatesWorlds Nebulae Tutorial by TylerCreatesWorlds
After numerous requests, I have decided to make a tutorial on how I paint my Nebulae. I did my best to include every part of my process. I'm sure the thing is riddled with spelling and grammar errors. Just ignore those, there's a reason I'm an artist and not a writer.

I hope you all can learn something from this. It took quite sometime to get it done. If you have any questions or are unsure about anything, don't hestiate to ask me.

I've included my custom cloud smudge brush that I use in all my paintings

Probably one of the best, if not the best, tutorial I've come across on creations of Nebula with the round brush approach. I'm so sick of seeing nebula brushes and other tutorials using fractals or some other resource. Good job going out of the box. I've been watching your work for some time now and am continually impressed by your consistent knack for good, organic-looking, nebula painting. I'm glad you finally shared your technique. I was very curious.
Maybe the only thing I would add: I've noticed most of your nebula creations take up the entire canvas. I may suggest working with smaller nebula, further away from the focal point, and adding additional space features into your art.

Very helpful tutorial - thank you. I like your approach of only using simle tools like a round brush and a smudge (in most other nebula tutorials I've seen they used fractals).

I really don't like the look of fractals, they look fake. So I've always tried to stay away from them forcing me to come up with my own method.
